A Pre-Shaking the Foundations Event

Al Gore’s grassroots group, The Climate Project, has funded Three Degrees to develop an update to Gore’s climate slideshow made famous by An Inconvenient Truth. The effects of climate change are already beginning to impact communities around the world. Water shortages, decreasing agricultural productivity, rising sea levels, and increasing rates of disease will create both systemic and abrupt disruption within a significant number of these communities. The Three Degrees project has developed a five-part framework for assessing and analyzing the human rights and social justice impacts that climate change will have on communities in terms of 1) public health, 2) food and water, 3) security, 4) equity, and 5) justice concerns.
