Join the Stanford Human Rights Law Association (SHRLA) for a conversation with Wolfgang Kaleck of the European Center for Constitutional and Human Rights. Kaleck, best known for representing Edward Snowden, has organized and advocated on behalf of victims worldwide. He has worked in opposition to the Assad regime’s torture policies in Syria, Argentine and Guatemalan military officials involved in forced disappearances, Donald Rumsfeld for his endorsement of “enhanced interrogation techniques” by the U.S. military, and others.
Wolfgang Kaleck will discuss his new book, Law Versus Power. Lunch will be served.
