Interdisciplinary Research for Lawyers with Shay Elbaum

Researching and designing public policy requires synthesizing information from many different sources and disciplines. Legal research; scientific data; economic predictions; findings and recommendations from NGOs, blue-ribbon panels, think tanks, and government agencies: all these and more guide policy makers and shape policy recommendations. Participants in this workshop will learn about the variety of non-legal sources used in policy research and ways to identify and access them, along with techniques for interpreting and evaluating work in unfamiliar disciplines.
