Biography
Or Cohen-Sasson is a law and technology scholar. His research focuses on innovation policy, intellectual property, and computational law. Or graduated with a doctoral degree from the Faculty of Law, Tel Aviv University, in 2023. Besides his legal credentials (Ph.D., LL.M., LL.B.), Or has an academic and practical background in biology (B.Sc. in biology) and computer science (currently working toward a B.Sc. in computer science).
Or has published in leading academic journals, including Science, EMBO Reports, and Arizona State Law Journal. Two of his papers won the ATRIP Essay Contest (1st place in 2019, 2nd place in 2022). As part of his TTLF Fellowship, Or is collaborating with Ofer Tur-Sinai. Jointly, they conduct an empirical study that examines the role of American and European funding agencies in facilitating open science. He has been a TTLF Affiliate since 2023.
