Biography
Phoebe L. Yang is an experienced former C-suite and senior executive across four public companies, appointee in two Presidential Administrations, and Fortune 250/S&P 500 board director. She brings extensive expertise in technology, artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, digital transformation, global expansion and risk, and M&A to some of the world’s most valued companies, across media, communications, and healthcare.
She currently serves on the boards of GE Healthcare (NASDAQ: GEHC), Doximity (NYSE: DOCS), and CommonSpirit Health ($38B U.S. non-profit health system), where she is Chair of the Technology Committee. She is Senior Advisor to Brighton Park Capital and Venture Partner to Redesign Health. Most recently, she was General Manager of Amazon Web Services, Healthcare, where she led the world’s most broadly adopted cloud platform to achieve 70+% YoY growth resulting in the highest margin healthcare business at the Fortune 2 company. Earlier in her career, she was Chief Strategy Officer, Ascension; Senior Advisor and General Counsel on Broadband, Federal Communications Commission; Vice President for Strategy and Policy, AOL Time Warner; Managing Director, Corporate Development, The Advisory Board Company. She has been named Top 30 AAPI Board Director (BoardProspect), Top 100 Most Influential in Healthcare (Modern Healthcare), and Top 10 Women of Influence (Fierce Healthcare).
As a Council on Foreign Relations life member and former Rotary Scholar in Singapore, Yang graduated Phi Beta Kappa as an Echols Scholar from the University of Virginia and from Stanford Law School, having served as President of the Stanford Law Review. She is delighted to return to Stanford to teach Business Leadership for Lawyers in the Age of AI.
