Professor and Former Dean Kathleen Sullivan’s temporary move to the East Coast is the subject of a brief Daily Journal article.:

… Sullivan made it clear Monday that she is not severing her ties to Silicon Valley.

“This is not goodbye,” she said of the temporary assignment.

Quinn Emanuel tapped Sullivan in 2005 to establish its national appellate practice.

She will keep an office in Redwood Shores, but most of her time in the coming year will be spent building the appellate practice in New York.

She is taking a one-year leave of absence from teaching at Stanford.

The stint will be a sort of homecoming for Sullivan, who was born in Sault Ste. Marie, Mich., but grew up on Long Island.
