When Stanford Law School professor Jeffrey Fisher stepped down from the lectern at the Supreme Court on Tuesday, it marked the end of an extraordinary run for the Stanford Supreme Court Litigation Clinic and its lawyers.
His appearance in United States v. Sims was the fifth case that clinic lawyers were involved in, in the first argument cycle of the term—in other words, half of all the cases that were argued since October 1.
