Biography
Sangita Gazi is a final year Ph.D. candidate (Law) at the University of Hong Kong. Her doctoral dissertation focuses on the macroeconomic effects of central banks’ innovation policies, particularly in relation to Central Bank Digital Currency (CBDC). Sangita is a Senior Research Fellow at the Fintech & Blockchain Program at Rutgers and a Research Fellow at Yale Law School. She has published peer-reviewed articles on payment systems, digital currencies, and regulatory and supervisory technologies in journals such as the Cambridge Law Review, the Banking and Finance Law Review, and the Arkansas Law Review. Her co-authored publications are also forthcoming in the Law & Contemporary Problems and the University of Pennsylvania International Law Review. Additionally, Sangita’s policy briefs and working papers have been published by reputable organizations such as the Bank for International Settlements, the United Nations Capital Development Fund, and the Asian Development Bank. Sangita has been a TTLF Affiliate since March 2024.
