Building a Sustainable Economy with Ceres
Foley Hoag is representing Ceres, Inc., a nonprofit organization devoted to the creation of a sustainable economy that is at the forefront of many efforts to address climate change issues. Ceres works with investors, companies, academics, and nonprofits to solve the world’s greatest sustainability challenges. Through participating in initiatives like Climate Action 100+ (among others), Ceres works to encourage some of the world’s largest companies to disclose how they intend to address the physical and transitional risks of climate change. Focusing on these issues helps companies become more sustainable and to create long term value. The firm has been advising Ceres on a pro bono basis with respect to an investigation by a House of Representatives committee and anticipating attacks by other anti-ESG actors.
