Nixon Peabody is working with the Bay Area Host Committee, a consortium of sports franchises and business and civic leaders, to assess the environmental plan for the FIFA World Cup 2026^TM, which will be played at sites throughout California, the United States, Canada, and Mexico. NP Environmental Team coleader Alison Torbitt is assisting BAHC to modify the plan for alignment with rigorous California Air Resources Board climate action plan objectives, and to reduce the environmental impact of BAHC events, setting a higher bar for environmentally responsible event planning.
