Nixon Peabody attorneys provide pro bono support to Legal Food Hub, a project of Conservation Law Foundation, which connects farmers, food entrepreneurs, and food and farm organizations with free legal assistance. New England farmers face ever-growing social, economic, climate, and environmental challenges, leaving them little room to navigate their legal needs. Our NP pro bono team helps to relieve this burden by supporting these businesses with their land use and real estate projects. Most recently, Nixon Peabody assisted Colfax Farm in finding a permanent home by reviewing lease and other real estate purchase agreements. The firm continues to work with farmers in Pioneer Valley hoping to pass their farms on to the next generation, along with several other constituencies that Legal Food Hub services.
