BLSA Black History Month Gala 2014

BLSA's first Black History Month Gala: "The Next 50 Years of Civil Rights and Racial Justice."

Stanford Law School has a long history of educating the nation's next generation of leaders, and BLSA is committed to ensuring these leaders are champions of racial justice. "The Next 50 Years of Civil Rights and Racial Justice" brought together the broader law school community to celebrate fulfilled promises and reflect on dreams deferred.
2014 Keynote speaker Maya Harris '92 was a Senior Fellow at American Progress, former Vice President of Democracy, Rights, and Justice at the Ford Foundation, and the former Executive Director the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) of Northern California
2014 Keynote speaker Tony West '92 was Associate Attorney General, the nation's third-highest ranking official at the Department of Justice.

The gala took place at Paul Brest Hall.
