Chris Guthrie, JD ’94 (BA ’89), Reappointed Dean of Vanderbilt Law School
Vanderbilt Law School recently reappointed Chris Guthrie to a fourth term as the school’s dean, making him one of the longest-serving law deans in the country. During his tenure as dean, Guthrie has increased the size of the faculty by 25 percent and helped develop and lead law school programs such as the JD/MS degree in finance program, an online Master of Legal Studies degree, the George Barrett Social Justice Program, and the Vanderbilt AI Law Lab (VAILL). Under his leadership, the Law School has nearly quadrupled the book value of its endowment, resulting in a dramatic expansion in faculty chairs, student scholarships, and academic program support.
