Daniel Lubetzky, JD ’93, Helps Launch Stanford Builders Forum
Daniel Lubetzky—social entrepreneur, founder of KIND Snacks, and a “shark” on the ABC program “Shark Tank”—is helping launch a new speaker series at Stanford University.
The Stanford Builders Forum, made possible through Lubetzky’s gift to ePluribus Stanford, is bringing external speakers to campus each quarter to share how they have navigated high-conflict situations and bridged divides. The inaugural event took place October 8 at Stanford Law School, with Lubetzky as the featured speaker. ePluribus Stanford grew out of the Stanford Law School initiative of the same name.
Lubetzky’s support also funds ePluribus Stanford’s broader mission to foster critical thinking, dialogue, and civic engagement, and endows a faculty fellowship in civic, liberal, and global education. The forum takes its name from the nonprofit Builders Movement, which Lubetzky founded to equip citizens to work across differences through creative problem-solving.
“Daniel Lubetzky has committed much of his life to reducing polarization,” said Stanford Provost Jenny Martinez in a Stanford Report article. “I am so grateful for his generosity in helping us scale ePluribus and foster a culture of open minds on campus.”
