David Freeman Engstrom, JD ’02, LSVF Professor in Law and Co-director, Deborah L. Rhode Center on the Legal Profession, and Mila Sohoni, professor of law and John A. Wilson Distinguished Faculty Scholar, were both re-appointed to second terms as public members of the Administrative Conference of the United States (ACUS) in August 2024. branch charged with identifying and promoting improvements in the efficiency, adequacy, and fairness of the procedures by which federal agencies conduct regulatory programs, administer grants and benefits, protect the public interest, and perform other essential governmental functions.

In addition, Sohoni was elected in fall 2024 to the American Law Institute (ALI). As one of 22 new members of the 101-year-old organization, Sohoni will join the ALI in its mission to clarify, modernize, and otherwise improve the law.
