David Studdert Elected to National Academy of Medicine

Professor David Studdert, who serves as the university’s vice provost and dean of research and holds joint appointments at Stanford Law School and the Stanford University School of Medicine, was elected to the National Academy of Medicine in October 2024 for his major contributions to health policy, including “illuminating the relationship between gun ownership and increased mortality risk” and “landmark studies of medical injury and malpractice litigation,” according to a National Academy of Medicine press release.
