Faculty News: Daines Named Associate Dean for Global Programs

Robert M. Daines, Pritzker Professor of Law and Business, has been named associate dean for global programs. In this role, he will spearhead the law school’s Global Initiative, an innovative new model for preparing law students for an increasingly interconnected world. He will focus on expanding and strengthening Stanford Law School’s existing international offerings.

Daines’ scholarship explores issues at the intersection of law and finance, including CEO pay, corporate governance, mergers and acquisitions, mandatory disclosure regulations, IPOs, shareholder voting, and takeover defenses. He is also a senior faculty for the Rock Center on Corporate Governance and a professor of finance (by courtesy) at the Graduate School of Business.
