Lawrence M. Friedman Receives Scribes and Chicago Alumni Awards

Lawrence M. Friedman, Marion Rice Kirkwood Professor of Law, received the 2017 Scribes Award for his book Impact: How Law Affects Behavior. Every year, the Scribes Book Award committee considers 30 to 40 award nominees, selecting works of excellence in legal scholarship.

Friedman was also selected in November 2016 as a recipient of the University of Chicago Alumni Board Professional Achievement Award, which honors alumni whose work and achievements have been examples of excellence that bring honor to the university and have aided the communities around them.
