Jud Campbell: Professor of Law and Helen L. Crocker Illuminating the law through the lens of history Faculty Scholar

Jud Campbell, JD ’11, professor of law and Helen L. Crocker Faculty Scholar, received the 2025 Joseph Story Award from the Federalist Society at the organization’s 44th Annual National Student Symposium. The annual award recognizes a junior academic who has “demonstrated excellence in legal scholarship, a commitment to teaching, a concern for students, and who has made a significant public impact in a manner that advances the rule of law in a free society.”

As one commentator noted: “It is very unusual for any scholar, much less a junior scholar, to fundamentally change the terms of the debate over the meaning of the Constitution, and Jud’s scholarship has done that.” SL
