During the 2019 Law and Society Association (LSA) Annual Meeting, Lawrence Friedman, the Marion Rice Kirkwood Professor of Law, was presented the LSA Legacy Award, which honors significant contributions to the association through sustained commitment to its mission and legacy, extensive service, or scholarly publications. Friedman previously served as the president of the Law and Society Association.
