Lucas Guttentag

, professor of the practice of law, is on leave from SLS after an appointment to the Biden administration as senior counselor for immigration policy to the Department of Justice’s deputy attorney general in August 2021. Guttentag served in the Obama administration from 2014 to 2016 as a senior adviser on immigration policy, including as senior counselor to the secretary of Homeland Security.
