Jake Klonoski was part of a team at the DOJ’s Office of the Inspector General (OIG) that received the Intelligence Community’s 2018 Mission Impact award in March for work on a report, “A Review of Various Actions by the Federal Bureau of Investigation and Department of Justice in Advance of the 2016 Election.” The Mission Impact award recognizes the most important intelligence-related investigation by an IG during the year.
From December 2016 to June 2018, Klonoski, attorney advisor at the DOJ from 2016 to present, collaborated with a small team in investigating the issues and authoring the report that details “the relation of actions by the FBI and the Department of Justice preceding the 2016 election and the investigation into former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton’s usage of her private email account.”
Klonoski has been an attorney advisor at the DOJ OIG for four years and was previously a law clerk to Judge Harry Pregerson on the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals.
