Jumoke Omoniyi Oduwole, JSM ’07, JSD ’11, Appointed Nigeria’s Minister of Industry, Trade, and Investment

In October, Nigeria’s President Bola Ahmed Tinubu appointed Jumoke Omoniyi Oduwole the country’s Minister of Industry, Trade, and Investment. Oduwole earned her LLB from the University of Lagos in 1998, followed by an LLM in commercial law from Cambridge University in 2000.  She went on to receive a JSM and a JSD at SLS. Oduwole has served as co-president of the Stanford Alumni Club of Nigeria and a member of the executive committee of the Oxbridge Club of Nigeria. Before serving as special adviser to the Nigerian President on Ease of Doing Business, she was senior special assistant to the President on Industry, Trade, and Investment, where she helped establish the Nigerian Office for Trade Negotiations.
