Mark Brewer, JD ’81, Named General Counsel of Michigan AFL-CIO
Mark Brewer, a partner in Michigan plaintiffs law firm Goodman Acker, was named general counsel of the Michigan AFL-CIO. He serves as the attorney for the Michigan AFL-CIO, the umbrella organization representing 45 international and statewide unions, including AFSCME, AFT, SEIU, UAW, and others. Brewer oversees all legal matters, provides policy advice, represents the organization in litigation, and supports its lobbying efforts.
“The Michigan AFL-CIO has long been a champion for working people in Michigan and will continue to be a leader in those efforts,” Brewer said in a law firm press release. “I have spent my entire legal career fighting for the rights of working people, and it will be a great privilege to represent the Michigan AFL-CIO, its affiliates, and their members.”
