Rachel Juarez, JD ’10, Joins “Hot Bench” TV Show

The Emmy-nominated courtroom TV show “Hot Bench” has a new judge: SLS’s own alum Rachel Juarez. The syndicated program was created by Judge Judy Sheindlin, who achieved national fame with her own courtroom show, “Judge Judy,” which ran 1996-2021. The show takes on real small claims cases from courthouses across the country.

Prior to landing her role as one of the three “Hot Bench” judges, Juarez was a litigator with Quinn Emanuel Urquhart & Sullivan LLP, ran her own family law practice, and was appointed as a temporary judge in the Los Angeles County Superior Court’s Temporary Judge Program. While at SLS, she worked as a student advocate through the Stanford Three Strikes Project and was president of the Stanford Law School Mock Trial Program.
