There’s a new legal talk show on the air—this one with a distinctly Stanford twist. Stanford Legal, part of SiriusXM’s programming collaboration with Stanford University, premiered on SiriusXM Insight channel 121 in December 2017 and now airs weekly Saturday mornings at 10:00 a.m. EST. Co-hosted by constitutional law scholar Pam Karlan, Kenneth and Harle Montgomery Professor of Public Interest Law and co-director of Stanford’s Supreme Court Litigation Clinic, and tax law expert Joe Bankman, Ralph M. Parsons Professor of Law and Business, the series engages listeners in conversations with attorneys, legal scholars, and leading experts on timely topics such as the commercialization of marijuana, the power of prosecutors, the new tax laws, President Trump’s travel ban, free speech on campus, veterans treatment courts, and more.

“Sometimes, legal issues can seem complex. Our job on Stanford Legal is to help our listeners make sense of what the law is, why it’s that way, and what changes we should hope for—or fear. It’s a great opportunity for SiriusXM listeners to hear from our amazing colleagues, each of them an expert in an important field,” says Karlan.
