Three SLS Alums on Forbes First-Ever Top 200 Lawyers List

Forbes published its inaugural list of America’s Top 200 Lawyers in March and three SLS alums made the list: Amy Knight, JD ’12, Alexis Ronickher, JD ’08, and David Sanford, JD ’95. Knight is a criminal defense attorney at the Oakland, CA public defense firm Phillips Black, where she focuses on death penalty cases and postconviction review at the state and federal level. Ronickher represents employees in civil rights, sexual harassment, and whistleblowers litigation as the managing partner of Katz Banks Kumin in San Francisco. Sanford co-founded and chairs Sanford Heisler Sharp, a public interest law firm with offices in seven cities which focuses on prosecuting and resolving social justice and civil rights cases.

The Forbes list highlights “the finest practitioners in the profession—lawyers with stellar track records in their specialties, those who have broken barriers to emerge as leaders in their fields, and attorneys most respected by peers and clients.”
