Application Instructions

This is the application for startups seeking free legal services through Stanford’s Startup Law: Sustainability program.

This is a selective program. After our review of the written application below, we will follow up for a video interview with applicants we select for further consideration. We will review and accept applicants on a rolling basis.

If an applicant is accepted, the program will enter into an engagement letter with the affiliate or startup to formalize an attorney-client relationship, and the applicant will be assigned to a practicing attorney and a team of law students to provide legal services at no charge.

Disclaimers: By submitting this application form you are not entering into an attorney-client relationship with the Startup Law: Sustainability program or Stanford University, nor are you guaranteed acceptance into the program or guaranteed to receive legal services. Course participation itself does not form an attorney-client relationship. The program will not represent clients in the event of a conflict against the University.

Notes: Do not provide any confidential information in this application and do not use this form to submit High Risk Data. By submitting this application form, you hereby consent to Stanford University’s collection and processing of any sensitive personal data contained in this form for the other purposes described in Stanford University’s Online Privacy Policy and Offline Privacy Policy which can be found at privacy.stanford.edu.
