Making the Case for Clean Energy Technology Commercialization

At a January hearing of the U.S. House Energy and Commerce Committee, Steyer-Taylor executive director Dan Reicher made the case for the U.S. government’s important role in clean energy technology commercialization. Responding to a question from Rep. Ryan Costello (R-PA), Dan had the opportunity to defend the Department of Energy loan program and the $41 billion it has available for advancing clean energy and transportation technologies. This exchange prompted a bipartisan letter to House appropriators from the full committee’s vice chairman (Joe Barton – R-TX) and the ranking Democrat on the energy subcommittee (Bobby Rush – D-IL).
