Tom Lalampaa, chief programmes officer at Northern Rangelands Trust (NRT) in Kenya, is the recipient of the 2016 Stanford Bright Award. Lalampaa has a background in community development, conservancy management, and fundraising, and was key to creating a conservation area of 3 million acres under the NRT which has benefited more than 150,000 people.
