Hank Greely, the Deane F. and Kate Edelman Johnson Professor of Law, focuses on the ethical, legal, and social implications of new biomedical technologies, particularly those related to neuroscience, genetics, or stem cell research. Here, he discusses the legal, ethical, and social issues raised by emerging human reproduction technologies. Greely is the director of the Center for Law and the Biosciences; professor (by courtesy) of Genetics at Stanford School of Medicine; chair of the Steering Committee of the Center for Biomedical Ethics; and director of the Stanford Program in Neuroscience and Society.
