#MeToo: Why Now? What’s Next?

#MeToo is a movement and moment in law, culture and society, and this panel seeks to take stock of where we are. For the law, #MeToo underscores the right to be free from sexual violence and harassment in the workplace, but it also raises questions of why these rights continue to be under-enforced. For the broader culture and society, #MeToo is cause for reflection on how much progress women have made, what obstacles to equality remain, and how women from different backgrounds think about these issues.

Panelist include: Celinda Lake, leading pollster and expert on women’s issues Professor Deborah Rhode, Director, Center on the Legal Profession Lynn Hecht Schafran, Director, National Judicial Education Program to Promote Equality for Women and Men in the Courts Carol Baldwin Moody (moderator), President and CEO, Legal Momentum
