We drafted a uniform district complaint on behalf of a mother and her middle-school daughter who was repeatedly harassed and assaulted at school. Despite assuring the mother that the school had an individualized safety plan in place, the school failed to provide a safe environment for the student. Working on this case taught us that, frustratingly, often times the law fails to provide clear recourse. In times when legal remedies fall short, our hope is that our representation provides validation and strong facts are enough to bring the opposing party to the negotiating table.
