Now, onto our latest review:
DANIEL LEWIS
★★★★★ “The Hard Thing About Hard Things: Building a Business When
There Are No Easy Answers,” by Ben Horowitz, Andreessen Horowitz.
Ben covers many of the most challenging parts of growing and leading
a startup, and I’ve already applied his advice in several situations and seen it play true.
With colorful chapter titles like “When Smart People Are Bad Employees,” it’s a quick, engaging read.
The title of the books gets across that building a company is constantly painful, but with Ben’s advice it seems possible to make it a little less so. For practical guidance about how to manage a variety of situations, this is a book that you keep nearby on the shelf.
Daniel Lewis is CEO at Ravel Law, San Francisco.
