Updated: Our January 14th Thursday CodeX meeting will feature two presentations, from Germany and New Jersey!  LawEdge, a “statute automation project,” will be demo’d by Professor Michael Simkovic from Seton Hall University School of Law, based in Newark, N.J.

Michael and Daniel Friedman, co-founders will discuss frag-einen-anwalt.de and 123recht.net services (not their Marktplatz Recht as previously mentioned).

Says LawEdge on its introduction on the website: “The U.S. Code is an intellectually rich and rewarding puzzle, but piecing it together requires repetitive, mechanical tasks. Repeatedly flipping back and forth to the right page can deter students from reading and learning to parse the statute and regulations. Daniel Friedmann (CTO) and Michael Friedmann (Managing Director) will also be presenting at Legaltech New York 2016, on Feb. 4, at 12:15 p.m to 1:30 p.m. (Eastern) on the CodeX Track—Legal Empowerment through Information Technology.
