Roland Vogl, Executive Director of CodeX, is interviewed on the Law Technology Now podcast, “Upcoming 2016 CodeX FutureLaw Conference.” Presented by the Legal Talk Network, Vogl starts off with reflections about his path to CodeX and then highlights the upcoming May 20 CodeX FutureLaw Conference at Stanford Law School.
The conference, he explains, covers a wide roster of topics and speakers, ranging from a keynote by James Sandman, president of the Legal Services Corp. to panels addressing computational law; artificial intelligence; new legal tech communities; barriers to legal tech adoption and how to remedy them; legal tech in academia; criminal justice tech and e-government. There’s even a “Moot Court 2020” that sends legal tech to trial!
We also discussed the persistent problem of lack of equality for women in the legal and tech sectors and why it is so important to encourage women to be active in conferences, especially in the STEM arena (science, techonology, engineering and math).
