A self-trained software engineer who has worked at AWS and Microsoft, Aaron sits on the Washington Courts Access to Justice Technology Principles Committee, and has assisted with successful re-election campaigns to the Washington State Supreme Court for Justices Mary Yu and Barbara Madsen.

Matthew holds an undergraduate degree in mathematics and a masters in computer science; he is passionate about machine learning. The two friends teamed up to found CoralDocs, a document management platform for law firms and other professional services organizations, featuring version control, e-signatures with optional blockchain integration, document comparisons, and an ecosystem of applications using ML and NLP.

Professor Goodenough will update us on a recent CLI report of which he was a principal author, and the newly introduced Vermont Senate bill (S.269) based on the report’s recommendations, proposing action on blockchain, cryptocurrency and other FinTech initiatives to promote economic development and regulatory efficiency.

Prof. Goodenough will also provide an update on the progress of Skopos Labs, a startup advancing AI as applied to policy with a team that includes former Capitol Hill staff.
