I turn the mic over to our CodeX Executive Director Roland Vogl:
Hi Everyone,
Our next CodeX meeting is this Thursday (Feb. 8), from 1.30 p.m. to 2.30 p.m. Pacific Time, in Room N112 of the Neukom Building of SLS (or via Zoom link below).
OUR GUESTS
Dr. Sven J. Körner, founder, thingsTHINKING.
ThingsTHINKING technology combines real-world knowledge with statistical information (deep learning, etc.) to get to the actual meaning of natural language — what some have called the Third Wave of AI. Sven will be presenting remotely.
Patrick Schmitt, CEO, and Jenny Xia, CFO & CPO, FreeWill.
FreeWill offers free online tools to provide estate planning documents for simple estates and help finding attorneys for more complex estates, making charitable giving easier throughout the process. Patrick and Jenny will present from our meeting room at Stanford Law School.
Gedas Mitkus, founder,
VistaDraft.
VistaDraft aims to provide transactional lawyers an integrated “Swiss army knife” type of tool analogous to popular tools used by other knowledge professionals (Photoshop, AutoCad, or Android Studio, for example), working with lawyers, technology leaders, and adjacent discipline specialists to deliver the breakthrough product in this space. Gedas will present remotely.
Philipp Plog, managing partner, Fieldfisher.
Plog will discuss airline legal strategies against aggregators of passenger flight compensation claims, and will also address legal tech companies’ collection of large cartel damages claims against car manufacturers. Philipp will present from our meeting room at SLS.
See you then!
Roland
