Sara Bobok
Sara is from Schenectady, NY and graduated from Harvard College in 2019. Prior to law school, she worked in child trafficking prevention in her home country of Hungary and at a youth aid organization in East Harlem. Sara spent her 1L summer at the New York Legal Assistance Group with the Special Litigation Unit. Next summer, she will be at Emery Celli. At Stanford, Sara co-leads the Workers' Rights Pro Bono, the Education Defense Project, is co-president of Youth and Education Advocates and First Person Storytelling, and a member editor of Stanford Law Review. Claire Dinshaw
I am a current 2L. Since being at Stanford, I have mostly worked in public defense. I worked with the Santa Clara County and San Francisco County Public Defender’s Offices the summer after 1L, and I will be working at the SDNY Federal Defender’s Office after 2L. I also participated in the Criminal Defense Clinic. I am broadly interested in criminal defense, the intersection between disability and criminal law and gender and criminal law, and the Fourth Amendment. Sheen Kim
Sheen is from Las Vegas, Nevada. They graduated from Dartmouth College in 2023 where they studied Anthropology and Geography. They unionized undergraduate student workers at Dartmouth with the Student Worker Collective at Dartmouth. At SLS, Sheen is involved in the National Lawyers Guild, Law Students for Justice in Palestine, and the Workers' Rights pro bono project. Tanvi Kohli
Tanvi graduated from Washington University in St. Louis in 2020. After graduating, she interned with the Consortium for Gender, Security, and Human Rights, worked in direct services with survivors of torture, refugees, and asylum seekers at the Boston Center for Refugee Health and Human Rights, and completed a Fulbright research grant in Mumbai and Kutch, India. Evan Lehmann
Evan is a 2L from St. Louis, Missouri interested in eviction defense, tenant rights litigation, and community- and movement-based lawyering. Before law school, Evan worked on employment law research at SLS and was a paralegal in Colorado Legal Services' housing unit. Anna McLean
Anna is originally from Charlottesville, Virginia. Riya Mehta
Riya Mehta, from Overland Park, Kansas, is pursuing a JD at Stanford Law School and a master's degree in environment and resources in the Emmett Interdisciplinary Program at the Stanford Doerr School of Sustainability. Riya is passionate about empowering agricultural communities and aims to help governments design tools that help farmers and ranchers not just survive but succeed. Prior to starting law school, Riya served in the Biden-Harris administration as chief of staff for the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Farm Service Agency, where she worked to develop and implement pandemic assistance, disaster relief, conservation, and farm loan programs. At SLS, Riya serves as the co-president of the Older and Wiser Law Students organization (OWLS) and Submissions Editor for the Stanford Environmental Law Journal. Frishta Qaderi
A historian and geographer by training, Frishta is interested in resource governance, international development, and human and more-than-human rights. She studied at Brown University and the University of Oxford and worked in Central Asia’s aid sector, focusing on addressing anthropocentrism in international law. Damian Richardson
Damian is a 2L from Oak Park, Illinois. Outside of class, he is a member editor of the Stanford Law Review, a board member Black Law Student Association, a volunteer with Prisoner Legal Services, and co-music director of the MuSLSical. Before law school, Damian was an adviser in the U.S. Department of the Treasury’s Office of Climate & Environment, where he worked on multilateral climate fund governance and G20 sustainable finance matters. Zoe Robertson
Zoe grew up in the suburbs of Chicago and graduated from Yale College in 2023 with a degree in molecular, cellular, and development biology and political science. She is interested in animal liberation, prison abolition, and plaintiffs' work at the intersection of law and bioscience. During her 1L summer, she worked at Mercy for Animals. This upcoming summer she will work at Keller Postman and Miner, Barnhill, & Galland, two plaintiffs' law firms. Maya Rodriguez
Maya Rodriguez is a second-year law student at Stanford. She serves as Executive Vice President of the Stanford Law Association and in leadership roles of the Stanford Law Latinx Students Association, the American Constitution Society, and If/When/How. She spent her first summer with Planned Parenthood Federation of America. Prior to law school, Maya worked in campaigns and advocacy in Washington, most recently managing a $7 million Independent Expenditure program for the 2022 midterms at EMILY’s List. Sarah grew up in Harrison, New York and graduated from Harvard College with a degree in Social Studies. Before law school spent three years as a legal assistant at a plaintiff-side employment firm. At Stanford, she’s involved with Outlaw, the Workers’ Rights Pro Bono Project, Stanford Law Review, the Plaintiffs’ Lawyers Association, and the Rhode Center. Ariel Salmon
Ariel Salmon is a second-year law student, most recently from Chicago. Before law school, she completed her undergraduate degree at the University of Chicago and received a Bachelors in Political Science. After completing her undergraduate degree, she worked as a legal assistant at the Environmental Law and Policy Center and Earthjustice. She spent her last summer at the Rebuild, Overcome and Rise Center in Baltimore doing direct services. In law school she has volunteered with the Social Security Disability Project and Pets in Need, and is currently a BLSA co-President and Technical Managing Editor of the Journal of Civil Rights and Civil Liberties. Dana Sweeney
Dana Sweeney is a 2L interested in civil rights and movement lawyering, particularly back home in the Deep South (Alabama and Georgia). Before law school, he worked for six years as a community organizer at the Alabama Appleseed Center for Law & Justice, where he worked to 1) pass criminal justice, debt, & punishment reforms at the statehouse, and to 2) prevent new prison construction across the state. During his 1L summer, he clerked at the Law Foundation of Silicon Valley's Health Team, where he worked on disability benefits cases and assisted clients in psychiatric hospitals with exercising their rights. Bryce Tuttle

Micaela Wibberly
Micaela grew up in Richmond, Virginia, and graduated from the College of William and Mary in 2021 with a degree in Neuroscience. Before law school, she worked for two years as a paralegal at Central Virginia Legal Aid Society, specifically with their medical-legal partnership. At Stanford, Micaela is involved in the Prisoner Legal Services pro bono project, and is on the board for Criminal Law Society and the Stanford Journal of Civil Rights and Civil Liberties. She is spending fall quarter in the Criminal Defense Clinic. Her 1L summer, she worked at the Center for Death Penalty Litigation in Durham, North Carolina. She is excited to spend her 2L summer in the Special Litigation Division at the Public Defender Service of D.C. Brian Xu
Brian is originally from San Gabriel Valley, CA and graduated from Georgetown University in 2021. On campus, he is involved with the Workers' Rights pro bono project and the Rhode Center. He also works part time for the national ACLU's Racial Justice Program. Brian spent his 1L summer at the ACLU of Northern California and Legal Aid at Work. Anna Zannetos
Anna is from Wellesley, MA and graduated from Harvard College in 2018 with a degree in sociology. After college, she worked as a fifth grade teacher in Boston. She also worked at the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education and at Lumina Foundation, where she worked on issues at the intersection of higher education, democracy, and climate. Natalia Zorrilla
Natalia is from San Diego, California. She graduated in 2023 from Princeton University, where she majored in Philosophy and minored in Latin American Studies and Values & Public Life. At Stanford, she is a co-lead of the Housing Pro Bono Project, a judicial chair for the American Constitution Society, and a member editor of the Stanford Law Review. This year, she will also participate in Moot Court and the Supreme Court Litigation Clinic. About the Public Interest Mentoring Program
The Levin Center offers a formal mentoring program that matches first-year law students to student mentors based on shared practice interests. These small groups might meet for dinner off-campus, coffee on campus, or take a hike to the Dish while they chat about adjusting to law school, the 1L summer job search, or the challenges of securing entry-level public interest jobs. Registration for this program begins in the Fall quarter shortly after 1L Orientation.
