Biography
Evelyn Kessler is a historian of the United States whose research focuses on the relationship between law and the history of ideas, with particular interest in historical experiences of liberalism, modernity, violence, and inequality. She received her PhD in History from the University of Chicago in 2024. Her current book project is a history of consent in American life, spanning the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries.
