Alana Frederick serves as the career law clerk and chief of staff to Judge Kevin Newsom on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit.  Alana also teaches and lectures regularly at various law schools, including Yale Law School, Stanford Law School, University of Chicago Law School, and Harvard Law School.  Her work has been published in the Harvard Law Review, and the Yale Law Journal.  She is an elected member of the American Law Institute.  Alana resides in Birmingham, Alabama, with her husband, Scott, and her two daughters, Evelyn and Kirklyn.
