Biography
Anjali Mohan is a political and legal theorist. Her research critically examines existing doctrines in both private and public law, especially as they relate to questions of responsibility, citizenship, and sovereignty. Her publications include “Reframing Genocide” in the Utah Law Review and “Statelessness and World Citizenship” in the Oxford Handbook on Cosmopolitanism (forthcoming).
Anjali started her career at WilmerHale in Washington, DC as a litigation associate. She then went on to spend several years working on human rights in Burma/Myanmar as Country Director of the NGO Justice Base and international legal advisor to Women’s Peace Network, a Rohingya-led advocacy organization. Anjali received her JD from Harvard Law School, PhD in Political Science from the University of Chicago, and BA in Government, Economics, and Plan II Honors from The University of Texas at Austin. She is a member of the New York and District of Columbia bars.
