Biography
Austin Peters is a Non-Resident Fellow at the Rhode Center and a Bigelow Teaching Fellow and Lecturer in Law at the University of Chicago. His research uses AI, natural language processing, machine learning, and other data science tools to study various topics within civil procedure and statutory interpretation. His work has appeared in the University of Pennsylvania Law Review, the Northwestern University Law Review, and computer science proceedings. Most recently, Austin clerked for Judge Kevin C. Newsom of the United States Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit. He earned a JD and a Ph.D. in Political Science from Stanford University, and a B.A. in political science magna cum laude from UCSD.
