2023 Global Quarter Field Study: Europe

Field Study

In 2023, following the on-campus coursework, faculty and Franke Fellows traveled to London, Oxford, Geneva, and Berlin for a total of 3 weeks. SLS students and faculty interacted with foreign law students and academics, and engaged in simulations and negotiations over international business and investment. In addition, Franke Fellows consulted with regulators, lawyers, and business leaders at multinational firms to learn the professional skills required to face the legal, business and cultural challenges arising in global business transactions.

Franke Fellows received at least 14 units of credit for the quarter: 9 units for classes on SLS campus and 5 units for the field study.

The field study ended in early June, in time for 3L’s to attend SLS graduation.
