A Lunch Talk with Kevin Rooney, JD ’09, Deputy District Attorney, San Joaquin County
Kevin Rooney is a deputy district attorney in the San Joaquin County (Stockton, CA) District Attorney’s Gang Violence Suppression Unit, where he prosecutes serious and violent crimes committed by criminal street gang members in San Joaquin County. Kevin grew up in Stockton before receiving undergraduate and Master’s degrees from Cornell University and a law degree from Stanford Law School (Class of 2009). Prior to returning to Stockton, Kevin worked as a law clerk to Judge Jeremy Fogel in the Northern District of California for one year and an assistant district attorney at the New York County District Attorney’s Office in Manhattan for three years. Kevin and his wife Kate have three children ages 2, 4, and 7.
