Missed the first opportunities to do Mental Health First Aid? There is now a Saturday training available on 5/4 in Redwood City. DAMNS and the Mental Health Informed Lawyering Project will provide transportation and food during the lunch break! Just RSVP first with San Mateo County, who is providing the trainings, and then RSVP with us for food/transport. More details in the flyer.
Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) is a training which will prepare you to recognize and respond to symptoms of mental illness and mental health crisis. MHFA is a national, evidence-based curriculum that can help you learn how to offer initial support to friends, loved ones, and future clients experiencing challenges like anxiety, depression, substance use, or psychosis.
The Levin Center has approved Mental Health First Aid to count towards pro bono hours.
