Join DAMNS and the Mental Health Informed Lawyering Project for Mental Health First Aid (MHFA), a training which will prepare you to recognize and respond to symptoms of mental illness and mental health crisis. MHFA is a national, evidence-based curriculum that can help you learn how to offer initial support to friends, loved ones, and future clients experiencing challenges like anxiety, depression, substance use, or psychosis.

San Mateo County is offering this training, and DAMNS is facilitating SLS student’s participation. For the 4/19 virtual training from 9-3:30, DAMNS will offer lunch on campus to participants. For the 4/26 in-person training, DAMNS will offer lunch and transportation to and from the South San Francisco Library. DAMNS is also working on arranging future weekend trainings.
