Our Speaker:

BROGIIN KEETON is an associate in Sidley Austin's New York office practicing in the Complex Commercial Litigation group. Her work focuses on international and domestic arbitration and complex commercial litigation. Recent international arbitration matters have involved the energy sector, including gas and solar energy.

Brogiin is actively involved in the international legal community including participation in training seminars and pro bono work. Most recently, Brogiin was selected to participate in a Lawyers Without Borders mission to Kenya, where she worked with members of the federal judiciary, the State department, and the Kenyan judiciary to teach trial training skills concerning anti-corruption and anti-terrorism prosecution.

Brogiin served as a visiting scholar at the European University and a visiting fellow at the University of Cape Town. She received her law degree from Stanford University where she served on the school’s International Law Journal. In addition, Brogiin holds a MSc from the London School of Economics and Political Science, where she focused her studies on the legal impacts of globalization, and a bachelor’s degree from Dartmouth College.

Brogiin has also been appointed to a three year term as secretary of the New York City Bar Association’s Committee on Foreign and Comparative Law, whose focus is largely global regulatory issues, international arbitration and legal engagement with foreign governments and other sovereign entities.
