The Annual Northern California Public Interest/Public Sector Legal Careers Day (PI/PS Day), is a job fair and networking event designed to increase students’ exposure to a vast array of public interest organizations and government agencies. Eight northern California law schools coordinate to host this event every winter in San Francisco. The event takes place on February 1, 2020.
For more information visit the PI/PS Day website.
PI/PS Day has two components:
- Formal Interviews: Employers conduct on-site formal, pre-screened interviews for paid, work-study or volunteer positions. First, second, and third-year students may apply for positions through PI/PS Day. Formal interviews are only open to students of sponsoring schools.
- Table Talk: Representatives from non-profit legal organizations and government agencies are available to speak with students. This is an excellent opportunity to learn about the work done by a large number of organizations across the region. It also provides a good chance to introduce yourself to the public service community and make contacts that can produce positive results, either in the short-run or further down the line. Table Talk is open to the public.
Information regarding PI/PS Day will be announced to students in the latter part of the Fall Semester. For additional information contact Jodie Carian at jcarian@law.stanford.edu
