Do you have questions about the content and context of the new President’s Executive Orders on immigration? Are you concerned about how the travel ban might affect you, speakers you are trying to bring to the University, or others? When and if DACA will be repealed? Do you want to know how to support members of the communities who are targeted by the new policies? If so, please join a panel of legal experts from Stanford Law School who will explain their content, provide an update regarding the legal challenges to them, and also their broader impacts on the community. There will also be an opportunity for you to ask questions.
NOTE: This is the first of two events on the Executive Orders and is designed to provide a broad overview and general information to all of the Stanford Community. A second, more limited, event is scheduled on February 2, from 7:30 to 9:30 PM, in Room 290 of the Law School, but is only open to those students and researchers who are directly impacted by the current Executive Order creating a travel ban. More information on this event can be found here.
